Machine Learning Engineering Manager (Computer Vision)

Location: Hybrid in Herzliya, Israel, combining office collaboration with remote work. The role includes hands-on work in vehicle workshops and labs.

What you will do

• Lead a team of approximately seven ML engineers, spending roughly 60% of the time on management and 40% hands-on work.
• Act as technical lead across multiple workstreams, setting the problem-solving vision, priorities, sequencing, and dependencies.
• Review and approve delivery plans, partnering with TPMs on planning and execution and with Product on priorities.
• Coach and develop ML engineers as the team grows.
• Bring the end-to-end AI driving approach into ADAS for a specific OEM production programme.
• Work across software, embedded, and product boundaries to deliver a coherent product.

Requirements

• Expert experience developing machine learning systems, specifically computer vision.
• Experience as a people manager, with a focus on developing engineers.
• Experience working across systems with software developers and product teams, particularly on embedded software.
• Hands-on experience with embedded runtime and inference optimization, including pragmatic trade-offs between model size and performance.
• Clear and thoughtful communication with colleagues across sites and cultures.
• Ability to remain steady and keep the team moving when requirements are unclear or change frequently.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with autonomous driving or advanced driver assistance systems.
• Passion for autonomy and willingness to learn despite not meeting every listed requirement.
