Senior Data Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Wrocław, Poland; hybrid work with 3 days per week from the office.

Rate: up to 160 PLN/h net on a B2B contract.

What you will do

• Co-design cloud-native target architectures, data models, data flows, and integration patterns with Business Analysts.
• Build and manage master data products, including ingestion, cleansing, standardisation, transformation, and API provisioning.
• Optimise ETL/ELT flows and modernise legacy SSIS and MS SQL Server BI solutions for Azure and Databricks.
• Assess feasibility, risks, dependencies, and technology trade-offs while preparing implementation-ready designs, documentation, diagrams, and CI/CD automation.
• Work with stakeholders, data stewards, architects, and delivery teams to ensure data quality, security, stability, and other non-functional requirements.
• Evaluate analytics solutions, integrate systems, and explain technical topics to business audiences.

Requirements

• Strong end-to-end experience with analytics platforms, data products, data warehouses, including star schema, Data Vault, multidimensional, and tabular models, and modern data architectures.
• Expert knowledge of SQL/T-SQL, Python, Apache Spark, Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with batch, incremental, CDC, and event-driven data patterns, as well as logical and physical data modelling.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT solutions, including high-performing SSIS packages and C# script components.
• Experience developing and maintaining APIs.
• Cloud-native Azure experience and legacy modernisation, including migration from SSIS to cloud platforms and evaluation of storage and processing trade-offs.
• Experience with agile ways of working, Jira including JQL, and Confluence.
• Proactive, self-starting approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ambition to grow towards a Data/Analytics Architect role.
• Clear documentation and business communication in English.
• Willingness to provide a criminal record certificate.

Nice to have

• Master data management tools and practices.
• Power BI, including semantic models, DAX, and front-ends, as well as SSRS and MDX.
• Team Foundation Server versioning and dispatching systems.
