Sr. Manager Data Science (Dark Stores Intelligence)

What you will do

• Lead and manage the ML team within the Global QC Hub, setting the roadmap, priorities, and success criteria with engineering, product, and business partners.
• Own the end-to-end ML workflow, including opportunity identification, problem formulation, dataset development, modeling, training, evaluation, and production deployment.
• Develop ML solutions for dynamic pricing, uplift modeling, counterfactuals, assortment, personalization, demand forecasting, promotion optimization, and operational intelligence.
• Lead experimentation and causal inference, including A/B, multivariate, switchback, and geo experiments, incrementality measurement, uplift modeling, and matching.
• Own data analytics, data engineering, data modeling, reporting, and the ML platform covering feature management, continuous training, serving, and online and batch inference.
• Coach and mentor ML engineers, data scientists, and data engineers; drive recruitment, technical decisions, implementation, deployment, and organizational development.

Requirements

• Expertise in classical machine learning and deep learning, with strong experience using both classical ML and deep learning frameworks.
• Familiarity with classical data structures and algorithms.
• Experience deploying and managing production ML systems at scale.
• Experience with recommendation, personalization, search, or logistics problems.
• Strong experiment design and statistical analysis skills, including running and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests.
• Strong causal thinking and hands-on experience with incrementality measurement and uplift modeling; experience with switchback testing, geo testing, marketing mix modeling, and matching such as PSM.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, technology, or a similar field.
• 10+ years of overall experience in software engineering and data, spanning multiple data disciplines; 8+ years in machine learning and 3+ years in engineering management in ML engineering or a related area.

• Experience in process optimization or workflow automation.
• Experience with data pipelines, data modeling, and data reporting.
• Postgraduate degree.
