Power BI Consultant (Data & AI)

Location: Hybrid in Flanders/Brussels, Belgium

What you will do

• Transform business questions and complex data into clear reports, data models, and Power BI dashboards.
• Collect and transform data from multiple sources and optimize datasets across the full reporting lifecycle.
• Build and maintain user-friendly reporting environments using best practices in modeling, DAX, visualization, and deployment.
• Work with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and BI consultants to define KPIs, reporting logic, and visual insights.
• Contribute to reporting modernization, self-service analytics, BI governance, scalability, and business adoption.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of demonstrable experience with Power BI.
• Strong SQL skills and solid experience with Power Query (M) for extracting, transforming, and combining data from multiple sources.
• Ability to develop DAX measures, including CALCULATE, aggregations, and time intelligence, and to build reports with drill-through, slicers, and report-level interactions.
• Experience designing and implementing data models using star schema principles, including relationships, hierarchies, and filter behavior.
• Experience with Power BI Service, including workspace management, dataset publishing, content sharing, and Row-Level Security.
• Ability to communicate fluently with colleagues and clients and translate KPIs into intuitive dashboards.
• Proficiency in English and Dutch and/or French.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tabular Editor and DAX Studio.
• Knowledge of Python.
• Exposure to Azure Databricks, Fabric, or other modern data platforms.
• Dashboards or a portfolio included with the application.
