Wild Area Officer - Wild Culm

Location: hirify.global Halwill Office, Beaworthy, Devon, United Kingdom; covering the 3000-hectare North Devon Beat. The role is office-based and includes implementation work on the ground.

Salary: £35,039 per annum.

What you will do

• Oversee the development and delivery of the Wild Culm project in West District.
• Manage progression through project stages and facilitate effective implementation on the ground.
• Develop wild areas at scale and pace in support of nature recovery.
• Restore natural processes that support healthy habitats and species.
• Work with stakeholders to make management decisions that strengthen ecosystem services and maintain sustainable timber production.
• Apply adaptive silviculture and natural process-led land management.

Requirements

• Ability to provide conversation in accurate spoken English.
• Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check and the government Baseline Personnel Security Standard check.
