Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote; listed locations include São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, and Florianópolis, Brazil. Work from anywhere.

Salary: USD $85,000–$125,000 annual base.

What you will do

• Own initiatives end to end, from problem framing and technical approach through production rollout and post-launch metric review.
• Define architecture, data models, integrations, rollout plans, observability, and rollback strategies, with architect review for significant decisions.
• Direct AI coding agents and establish prompts, guardrails, evals, tests, and review workflows for safe, production-ready implementation.
• Partner daily with product managers and designers, collaborate with engineering peers, and check in weekly with the Engineering Manager.
• Track initiative outcomes, present results 2–4 weeks after launch, and maintain high standards for correctness, security, performance, observability, and customer and pro experience.

Requirements

• Daily production experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent, including prompts, evals, agent loops, and review workflows.
• Experience operating at a lead level by making technical decisions, shipping difficult work, and owning whether it succeeds.
• Outcome-driven approach focused on measurable metrics and post-launch results.
• Strong collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineering peers in a shared codebase.
• Ability to make and document architecture, data-model, and rollout decisions and incorporate fast peer input.
• Ability to create reusable agent workflows, evals, runbooks, and post-launch reviews.
• Customer- and pro-focused mindset for a two-sided marketplace.
• Deep skill in at least one listed technology stack plus credible production experience with AI coding agents.
