Senior Manager, Product Management & Innovation (AI)

Location: São Paulo, Brazil; minimum three days per week working in person at a client location or Bain home office; regional travel required approximately 50% of the time.

What you will do

• Lead product strategy and innovation using human-centered design, customer research, ideation, journey mapping, service design, prototyping, and testing.
• Lead delivery of proofs of concept, minimum viable products, and software products from research and planning through execution.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements, manage product backlogs, sequence user stories, and lead agile and sprint-planning ceremonies.
• Resolve development blockers, negotiate scope and trade-offs, and coordinate handoffs across design, engineering, QA, and client teams.
• Engage clients and senior stakeholders through validation sessions, showcases, status updates, and co-development of solutions.
• Define change-management plans, KPI frameworks, dashboards, telemetry, and end-to-end testing including UAT and usability testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience delivering innovation in consulting, technology, industry, or startup environments.
• Product management experience for software development, including hands-on experience with AI solutions and generative AI-powered product development tools.
• Ability to use insights to balance business value, technical feasibility, user needs, and business goals, and to explain product technology clearly.
• Experience applying design thinking and leading or facilitating workshops supporting innovation processes.
• Experience applying agile and Scrum methodologies to lead cross-functional teams, plus experience with Lean Startup methodology.
• Ability to rapidly absorb technical information and understand modern design and development principles.
• Ability to manage interdisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, and researchers, work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate in complex and ambiguous situations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, curiosity, proactivity, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to collaborate across levels, offices, and regions.

Nice to have

• Experience managing the architecture and implementation of AI or technology solutions at enterprise scale.
• Spanish language proficiency.
