Manager, Firewall Policy Engineering (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote-MO, with other remote locations in Florida and California; must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $102,900.00–$190,500.00 per year.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of firewall security engineers, including prioritization, performance management, coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Lead enterprise firewall security engineering delivery and ensure firewall changes and security controls are implemented consistently and reliably.
• Establish repeatable practices for firewall policy implementation, lifecycle management, rule optimization, recertification, exception management, and change engineering.
• Advance firewall automation, orchestration, standardized workflows, control validation, workload visibility, and policy health measurement.
• Lead firewall security engineering projects, manage dependencies and delivery risks, and align engineering capacity with organizational priorities.
• Partner with application, network, cloud, infrastructure, architecture, cybersecurity, technology vendors, and service providers while supporting governance, audits, compliance, and risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience reflecting the required knowledge, scope, and skills.
• Experience leading security or network engineering teams and strong people leadership and development skills.
• Strong understanding of enterprise firewall security concepts and network security controls.
• Ability to prioritize substantial operational and project demand within finite engineering capacity.
• Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, communication, presentation, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
• Experience improving engineering processes through standardization and automation.
• Risk-based decision-making capability and ability to translate technical security concerns into business risks and outcomes.
• Ability to lead and manage others, build teams, coach effectively, provide constructive feedback, and communicate recommendations to upper management.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship is required; sponsorship is unavailable, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, and CPT.
