Senior II Software Engineer Lead (AI)

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $146,400–$263,600 base salary per year for US-based candidates; compensation outside the US varies.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of critical components for the hirify.global Inference Cloud AI platform.
• Build and optimize systems that provide OpenAI-compatible endpoints and orchestrate inference workloads across regions.
• Drive technical decisions, selecting tools, frameworks, and approaches for AI inference workloads.
• Implement and optimize containerized AI workloads with hardware-specific optimizations and integrate inference frameworks at scale.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical problem-solving.
• Collaborate across teams on technical requirements, platform standards, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Solid proficiency in distributed systems, cloud services, and platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AI inference, model serving, or LLM deployment, with working knowledge of TensorRT, vLLM, TorchServe, or Triton.
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience building scalable, high-performance systems using modern DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
• Technical leadership experience, including mentoring, code quality advocacy, and driving solutions for complex problems.
• Familiarity with API design and development using REST or gRPC patterns, GPU infrastructure, and hardware acceleration.
• Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and debugging distributed systems.
