Dispatch Operations Specialist

Salary: $21.60–$29.20 per hour, paid weekly

What you will do

• Coordinate Scotts and Growing Media freight to support efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Negotiate freight rates with contract carriers.
• Maintain records and process orders, bills of lading, and compliance paperwork for private fleet and contract carriers.
• Advise customers on delivery schedules and order issues, and respond to inquiries from customers, drivers, and corporate personnel.
• Coordinate production schedules and shipments with the Production Supervisor, production personnel, and other Growing Media plants.
• Cross-train and provide backup support for scale operations, accounts payable, production entry, inventory posting, and other office duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Two years of experience in a traffic or freight-related field.
• Previous experience dispatching trucks.
• Microsoft Office and computer skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong customer service orientation.
• Prior negotiation experience.
• Knowledge of state, local, and federal DOT regulations and office procedures.
