Mgr, Algorithm Developer Member of Technical Staff (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Santa Clara, California, United States. Full-time onsite role with approximately 10% travel; relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $184,000–$253,000 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Own the concept and feasibility of new algorithmic modules, including problem definition, data gathering, literature review, concept selection, risk identification, code development, documentation, testing, user training, and deployment.
• Align software application requirements with internal and external stakeholders and identify software architectures.
• Develop project budgets, work plans, timelines, hardware roadmaps, and resource plans.
• Oversee software and hardware implementation and manage interfaces with subcontractors and university collaborators.
• Lead a team of data scientists, data engineers, and software developers, including technical development, objective setting, performance management, recruitment, training, budgeting, and promotion processes.
• Lead exceptionally complex technology and engineering projects and research and development of new technologies for semiconductor equipment performance improvement; track milestones, run project reviews, and report progress.

Requirements

• In-depth understanding of concepts, theories, and principles in the relevant job family, with basic knowledge of related job families.
• Understanding of the semiconductor equipment industry and how the role contributes to business objectives.
• Technical expertise in semiconductor equipment performance improvement.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems.
• Experience managing a generally homogeneous team; MTS managers manage fewer than 8 employees.
• Technical credibility demonstrated through a portfolio of publications, patents, and authorship of technical documents.
• Ability to guide, influence, and persuade internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
