Salary: £38,448–£46,970 per annum depending on experience

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement experiments studying the bacterial sulfoglycolysis pathway.
• Design plasmids, perform cloning, and produce and purify enzymes.
• Handle BSL2 organisms in laboratory research.
• Manage the Jin group and communicate with group members and collaborators to further develop the project.
• Complete the final stage of the six-year project and publish impactful results in high-impact journals.

Requirements

• Ability to conduct research in laboratory settings and lead the design, development, and implementation of experiments.
• Ability to perform plasmid design and cloning, enzyme production and purification, and BSL2 organism handling.
• Ability to communicate and develop research with group members and collaborators.
