What you will do

• Plan, execute, and troubleshoot laboratory experiments for downstream purification and bioseparation research.
• Develop and optimise downstream purification processes for therapeutic biomolecules.
• Perform analytical testing, including SDS-PAGE, ELISA, and AGE.
• Evaluate biological feedstocks and bioseparation products, and support new technology evaluations and method development.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment while keeping accurate laboratory records and preparing technical reports.
• Contribute to cross-functional project teams, manage project documentation and timelines, and support or train junior laboratory staff when required.

Requirements

• PhD in a relevant Life Science discipline, or BSc/MSc with significant industry experience.
• Experience in biologics purification and downstream process development.
• Knowledge of chromatography, ultrafiltration, and diafiltration techniques.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and keen to learn.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of 5S methodology.
• Understanding of ISO9001 quality systems.
• Experience working within an R&D or bioprocessing environment.
