Nuclear Intern

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. US Citizenship or Green Card required.

Salary: $20–$30 per hour.

What you will do

• Learn to perform probabilistic risk assessments and engineering analyses.
• Develop technical documentation supporting the safe operation of nuclear power plants.
• Provide technical support for projects ranging from day-to-day nuclear power plant operations to research and development related to plant safety.
• Apply engineering fundamentals, analytical problem-solving, adaptability, and attention to detail.
• Deliver clear and concise oral and written presentations in a consulting environment.

Requirements

• Work toward a BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, Electrical, Chemical, or another related field.
• US Citizenship or Green Card holder status.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access database tools for tracking and analyzing data in support of risk analysis tasks.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with nuclear technology, such as the United States Navy Nuclear Program.
• Experience with MathCAD.
