Translation & AI Ecosystem Analyst / Consultant (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Kontich, Belgium or Prague, Czechia.

What you will do

• Assess the end-to-end translation ecosystem and identify root causes of stakeholder dissatisfaction.
• Audit current machine translation quality, feedback loops, supplier delivery mechanisms, and the gap between business expectations and delivered quality and efficiency.
• Research, test, and benchmark alternative enterprise AI translation tools and engines.
• Collaborate with the internal lead and business stakeholders to gather context and review existing workflows.
• Develop recommendations covering tools, AI capabilities, people and training, processes, governance, and vendor management, including SLAs and vendor accountability.
• Prepare an executive-ready assessment report and strategic improvement roadmap.

Requirements

• Solid, demonstrable experience in a similar senior position within the translation or localization domain.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of modern machine translation, neural machine translation, large language model translation workflows, and enterprise translation tools.
• Familiarity with major Translation Management Systems and translation vendors or partners.
• Proven ability to perform root-cause analysis and translate business frustration into structured, objective solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to explain technical gaps as business impacts and present strategic choices to management.
