Senior Security Reliability Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Frisco, Texas, United States, with Eagan, Minnesota listed as another location. Work from anywhere is available for up to 8 weeks per year.

Base compensation: $94,900–$176,300 USD annually, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Secure and harden applications, open-source dependencies, infrastructure, operating systems, containers, cloud environments, networks, WAFs, secrets, and machine identities across on-premises data centers and major clouds.
• Apply patches, implement guardrails and security controls, and improve patching cycles and golden-image refreshes to reduce cycle time.
• Scale AI-augmented SAST and SCA tooling, expand coverage, review generated pull requests, validate fixes, and prioritize remediation by risk using CISA guidance.
• Build reusable infrastructure-as-code patterns, tooling, and runbooks that standardize security and reliability work.
• Partner with application and platform teams to implement and validate changes safely across regions and time zones.
• Track security metrics, SLA-driven remediation, throughput, burndown, and mean time to remediate; mentor more junior engineers through technical reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of security, software, or DevSecOps engineering experience securing and hardening applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Multi-cloud experience across at least two of AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, alongside on-premises infrastructure.
• Hands-on understanding of security principles and common vulnerabilities, including patching, hardening, cloud configuration, network isolation, and identity and access controls.
• Hands-on experience with SAST and SCA tooling, application and open-source dependency remediation, and infrastructure patching.
• Experience improving engineering processes and reducing cycle time in patching, releases, or security work.
• Familiarity with CVSS, EPSS, CISA KEV, SLA-driven burndown, AI-assisted tooling, and critical review of generated output.
• Clear communication, some experience mentoring engineers, and strong ownership of security outcomes.
