Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in the United States; U.S.-hours coverage and a shared on-call rotation including nights, weekends, or holidays during the assigned week.

What you will do

• Fine-tune detection and response mechanisms.
• Review customer environments proactively to identify risks and exposed attack surfaces, then recommend improvements.
• Lead in-depth investigations across supply-chain, API, malware, and runtime attack scenarios; document outcomes and develop detection and response playbooks.
• Collaborate with Security Analysts, Research, and Backend teams to improve detection quality.
• Own complex and critical incidents escalated from Tier 1/2, including high-pressure customer engagements.
• Contribute to AI-driven detection models and use machine learning to improve investigation accuracy and response efficiency.

Requirements

• Availability for a shared on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, or holidays during the assigned week.
• Hands-on cybersecurity experience, ideally from a leading cloud or cloud security company, with real-world cloud environment exposure.
• Strong knowledge of detection engineering, incident response, and threat analysis, including supply-chain, API, malware, and runtime attack techniques.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure; and with container technologies including Docker or Kubernetes.
• Hands-on Linux experience; familiarity with networking fundamentals and scripting in Python or Bash.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage directly with customers and remain composed under pressure or pushback.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment.
• Curiosity, a problem-solving mindset, and a genuine personal interest in security.

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or Information Security.
