Javascript Application Developer (POS)

Location: Hybrid, with attendance at the Exeter, United Kingdom office two days per week.

Salary: Up to £48,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Develop and support ProPoint and associated applications.
• Build integrations with hardware such as payment terminals and printers.
• Plan and build secure, performant, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Create reusable components and improve application structure, speed, delivery, and standards.
• Convert UX designs and prototypes into user interfaces while maintaining brand consistency.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver a strong client experience.

Requirements

• Strong front-end application development background and excellent attention to detail.
• Modern JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with JavaScript tooling such as Webpack, Vite, and Jest.
• Experience with at least one framework such as Vue, React, Svelte, or Angular.
• Git.
• Experience consuming and building APIs.
• Experience with relational databases and datastores.
• Ability to attend the Exeter office two days per week.

Nice to have

• Node.js, Electron, and PHP.
• Relational database experience.
• Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility.
• Experience with AI-assisted development using agentic tools such as Claude Code.
• Ability to write clearly and accurately for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Existing software development experience or agency experience with an interest in moving into software development.
