SAP Cloud Application Developer (SAP BTP)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; the posting also lists Centennial, Colorado.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design and develop SAP BTP side-by-side extensions and standalone applications using CAP with Node.js and/or Java.
• Build responsive SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and Fiori elements applications and develop OData v2/v4 services for SAP and third-party integrations.
• Implement identity and access patterns with XSUAA, SAP IAS, and SAP IPS, and deploy and operate applications on Cloud Foundry and Kyma with scaling, monitoring, and observability.
• Use BTP services for application development, integration, workflows, business rules, data management, event-driven extensions, and AI/machine-learning use cases.
• Configure CI/CD pipelines, support multi-tenant SaaS capabilities including subscription management, tenant onboarding, and data isolation, and follow SAP clean-core principles.
• Collaborate with consultants, architects, and integration specialists; provide hypercare, incident response, performance tuning, and comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of SAP development experience with significant hands-on SAP BTP work.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP CAP in Node.js and/or Java.
• Hands-on SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 development experience.
• Experience designing and consuming OData v2/v4 services.
• Experience with Cloud Foundry and/or Kyma runtimes and BTP services.
• Working knowledge of XSUAA, SAP IAS, and SAP IPS.
• Familiarity with BTP CI/CD patterns and tooling.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA extension patterns and clean-core principles.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• SAP-certified BTP developer credentials.
• Experience with SAP Build, Workflow, Business Rules, or Document Management Service.
• Exposure to SAP AI Core and integration with hyperscaler AI services.
• Familiarity with SAP Integration Suite / CPI.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS applications on BTP.
