Product Associate (Fintech)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Analyse product performance across the full funnel, from traffic and applications through approvals, conversion, originations, repayment, and credit outcomes.
• Build and maintain dashboards, metrics, data models, internal tools, automations, and data workflows used by Product, Credit, and Operations.
• Model unit economics, pricing, contribution margin, cohort profitability, partner revenue, funding costs, expected losses, servicing costs, and lifetime value.
• Identify growth opportunities across segments, channels, products, pricing, cross-sell, top-ups, repeat lending, partnerships, and shared data.
• Use AI coding tools, SQL, and Python to prototype and ship front-end and back-end features, while working with engineers on APIs, decisioning flows, data pipelines, specifications, testing, and releases.
• Define launch success criteria, test end-to-end customer journeys and failure modes, monitor production performance, triage bugs, and ensure readiness for customer support, collections, and complaints teams.

Requirements

• Top-tier STEM or Economics degree, such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, economics, or a similar discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience, including internships, placements, or early-career roles with real responsibility.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence using SQL and Python to move from raw data to a clear recommendation.
• Ability to build and ship working front-end and back-end code with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor; experience may come from side projects, hackathons, internal tools, or production applications.
• Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as AWS QuickSight, PostHog, or similar BI and product analytics platforms.
• Commercial mindset with an interest in unit economics, pricing, P&L, and how products make money.
• Strong product sense, structured problem-solving ability, and confidence working through ambiguous real-world problems.
• Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain a model to an engineer and make recommendations to leadership.

Nice to have

• Interest in consumer credit, lending, payments, or fintech.
• Experience with experimentation and statistics.
