Contract 3D Retoucher (CGI)

Location: Detroit, United States; hybrid working model with teams in the office around four days a week.

Base salary: $100,000–$230,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Create final imagery for advertising and marketing materials using CGI, AI, photography, and illustration.
• Deliver CGI creative retouching, AI background creation or additions, special effects, stylistic standards, basic retouching, product updates, and vehicle color shifts.
• Own the quality, craftsmanship, timeliness, profitability, and delivery of retouching projects.
• Collaborate with Creative, Design, Production, Client Engagement, and agency teams to maintain accuracy, consistency, brand standards, and creative excellence.
• Provide working solutions and education on production capabilities and processes to clients.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and end-product quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in CGI and retouching.
• Expert knowledge of CGI programs such as Cinema 4D or comparable tools, Photoshop, file types, file resolution, and color management.
• Ability to take responsibility for project quality, craftsmanship, timelines, and profitability.
• Ability to build long-term, trust-based client relationships and foster relationships with Producers and Creatives.
• Ability to take ownership of projects, meet deadlines, follow direction, and make decisions that reduce revisions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage file naming, saving, and storage; perform quality assurance; prepare and mark up PDFs for reviews; and accurately record project time.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Creative, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
