3D Design Intern

Location: New York, NY (hybrid)

What you will do

• Create 3D models and realistic renderings for window displays, retail environments, fixtures, and events using Rhino 3D and rendering software.
• Prepare presentations, technical drawings, and design documentation for internal reviews and fabrication.
• Translate sketches, reference imagery, and creative direction into developed design concepts and visualizations.
• Research innovative materials, fabrication techniques, emerging technologies, and relevant art and design references.
• Explore solutions involving materiality, scale, proportion, and spatial composition while collaborating with Creative Visual Services and Visual Merchandising.
• Organize digital assets, support multiple projects, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of Rhino 3D or comparable 3D modeling software.
• Familiarity with rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong visual sensibility and understanding of form, color, materials, and proportion.
• Ability to interpret creative direction and translate ideas into digital models and visual presentations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills with attention to detail.
• Interest in luxury retail, experiential design, contemporary art, and visual merchandising.
• Curiosity about materials, fabrication processes, and emerging design technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience or familiarity with rapid prototyping, such as 3D printing and laser cutting.
• Experience with AI-assisted visualization tools.
