Freelance CGI/3D Artist

Location: Detroit, United States; hybrid model with teams in the office around four days a week.

Salary: $100,000–$230,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Create final imagery for advertising and marketing materials using CGI, AI, photography, and illustration.
• Deliver CGI creative retouching, AI background creations or additions, special effects, product updates, and vehicle color shifts.
• Develop stylistic standards for specific clients and campaigns while maintaining brand image styles, guidelines, and creative quality.
• Own the quality, craftsmanship, timeliness, and profitability of retouching projects.
• Collaborate with Creative, Design, Production, Client Engagement, and agency teams to coordinate projects and workload.
• Review work quality, prepare and mark up PDFs, record project time, and improve processes and end products.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in CGI and retouching.
• Expert knowledge of CGI programs such as or comparable to Cinema 4D, Photoshop, file types, file resolution, and color management.
• Ability to take ownership of projects, meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and maintain organized working and final files.
• Ability to follow direction from design, production, client engagement, and agency leads.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, decision-making, and quality assurance skills.
• Ability to build client relationships, support client education, and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Creative, Fine Arts, or a related field preferred.
