Manufacturing Planner (Associate or Mid-Level)

Location: Wichita, Kansas, United States; on-site. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Salary: Associate (Level 2) $59,950–$91,950 per year; Mid-Level (Level 3) $71,650–$109,800 per year.

What you will do

• Implement fabrication, assembly, and installation manufacturing plans by coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Develop tooling, interchangeability, replacement, and functional test plans.
• Define event sequences and create work instructions, manufacturing data sets, tooling requirements, and manufacturing bills of material.
• Communicate with engineering teams to clarify and influence design concepts and improve producibility.
• Coordinate change incorporation, optimize processes, and address production and post-production issues.
• Maintain configuration control of hardware within manufacturing build plans and apply process knowledge across relevant manufacturing areas.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• The position is on-site in Wichita, Kansas.
• For the Mid-Level position, 6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.

Nice to have

• Active DoD Security Clearance and a technical degree.
• Experience clarifying and enhancing build plans for standardization and ease of understanding.
• Experience interacting with manufacturing personnel, inter-organizational personnel, and external customers.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models and create manufacturing graphics.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and strong SAP knowledge.
• Experience with CATIA, ENOVIA, and 3DX.
• Understanding of master scheduling requirements and ability to take a project from start to finish.
• Willingness to work cross-functionally and process knowledge in composite non-metallic, electrical/electronics, machining, sheet metal, systems, or structures.
