Spirit Defense - Summer 2027 Internship Program (Paid) - Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) (Cybersecurity)

Location: 100% onsite in Wichita, Kansas, United States. The selected candidate must work onsite in Wichita, KS; the position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. First shift.

Salary: $19.73–$33.05 per hour.

What you will do

• Support secure applications and systems used by defense and space programs.
• Assist with cybersecurity and information protection activities.
• Work with infrastructure, network, and endpoint technologies.
• Support data analytics, reporting, automation, and technical projects.
• Collaborate with engineering and business leaders while contributing to real-world aerospace projects.
• Work with a mentor and gain exposure to aerospace products, manufacturing operations, engineering processes, and business systems.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Ability to work full-time during Summer 2027.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government.
• Eligible candidates must be able to work onsite in Wichita, Kansas.

Nice to have

• Interest in the aerospace and defense industry and a desire to build a career with Spirit Defense.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Previous related internship or work experience and/or involvement with student or civic organizations.
• Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to relocate and work onsite.
