Quantitative Researcher: Machine Learning

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with flexible in-office days

Salary: $165,000–$325,000 base pay annually, plus potential discretionary bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Develop sophisticated trading models using a rigorous scientific method.
• Apply machine learning to diverse datasets and shape insights into market behavior.
• Create and test complex investment ideas in partnership with engineers.
• Participate in reading circles, academic seminars, and conferences focused on statistics, machine learning, and data science.

Requirements

• Degree in a technical or quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or computer science; bachelor’s through doctorate levels are accepted.
• Intermediate programming skills in at least one language, such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms and the ability to adjust them as needed.
• Experience applying machine learning to real-world datasets.
• Published research in journals and/or presented at conferences.
