Quantitative Software Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with flexible in-office days

Base pay: $165,000–$300,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Lead applied research initiatives using generative AI technologies.
• Implement and maintain scalable machine learning and NLP systems in data-intensive production environments.
• Develop NLP and LLM services for research tools and production pipelines.
• Build and support systems for interactive research, automatic signal mining, and end-to-end evaluation of research hypotheses.
• Develop data pipelines delivering millions of events to production systems daily.
• Collaborate with modeling partners to prototype and iterate on emerging NLP research areas.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience is required; 3–10 years of experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions is preferred, particularly in NLP and LLMs.
• BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated success translating research publications into practical solutions.
• Proficiency with popular NLP and deep learning frameworks in Python, including PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Proven ability to thrive in multifunctional, fast-paced environments.
• Ongoing engagement with emerging trends, research, and applications in generative AI.

• Advanced degrees and/or machine learning publications.
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions in NLP and LLMs.
