Staff Product Data Scientist - Developer Productivity

What you will do

• Set the data science strategy for developer productivity as a player/coach, combining hands-on analysis with leadership of a small data science team.
• Develop advanced analytics and data exploration across developer workflows, AI-assisted development, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and infrastructure.
• Build data products and measurement frameworks for developer velocity, engineering quality, infrastructure cost, reliability, and developer experience.
• Apply statistical models, causal inference, segmentation, experimentation, and rigorous metric design to identify development accelerators and sources of friction.
• Partner with engineering leaders, product managers, data scientists, and finance partners to translate technical systems into measurable priorities and investment decisions.
• Coach and mentor data scientists while delivering data-backed recommendations for AI, developer tooling, and infrastructure investments.

Requirements

• Fluency in SQL.
• Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages, with experience using data visualization tools.
• Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, experimentation, causal inference, or machine learning at scale.
• Experience translating complex data into clear insights that inform business, product, and engineering decisions.
• Experience solving complex product, technical, and business problems with data in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Comfort working quickly and iteratively in ambiguous, high-impact environments.
• Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring data scientists through broad, ambiguous work.
