Graphic Design & Technical Communications Intern (Technical Communications)

Location: Woburn, MA; must be a U.S. citizen due to the nature of the work and applicable regulations.

Hourly Range: $25.20–$54.00/hour

What you will do

• Design, develop, and refine PowerPoint presentations for technical, engineering, research, and business audiences.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, scientists, and technical staff to translate complex concepts into accurate diagrams, illuhirify.globalations, infographics, and visual representations.
• Transform dense text, data, and conceptual descriptions into clear, organized, and visually compelling slides.
• Improve presentations for clarity, readability, visual consistency, and effectiveness while following hirify.global's brand standards.
• Develop graphics for internal communications, signage, corporate branding, and digital and print applications.
• Present design ideas, incorporate feedback, manage multiple assignments, and meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• <hirify.globalong>Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or a related field.hirify.globalong>

• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including slide layouts, visual composition, charts, shapes, and presentation formatting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and document formatting.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illuhirify.globalator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• hirify.globalong visual communication skills in typography, layout, information hierarchy, and composition.
• Ability to organize complex information and communicate it visually.
• Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn unfamiliar engineering, scientific, and technical subject matter.
• hirify.globalong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to collaborate with people without a design background, and ability to apply brand standards consistently.
• A portfolio demonhirify.globalating graphic design, presentation design, information visualization, or related work.

Nice to have

• Experience developing or modifying PowerPoint templates, Slide Masters, custom layouts, and themes.
• Experience creating or maintaining Microsoft Word templates, including styles, themes, headers, footers, and document formatting standards.
• Experience designing presentations for professional, academic, or research audiences.
• Understanding of corporate brand identity systems and visual style guidelines.
