Senior Backend Developer (Node.js)

Location: Fully remote or from a modern office. Relocation opportunities are available to countries where hirify.global has offices, with assistance after the probation period and subject to approval.

What you will do

• Build backend services with Node.js and TypeScript, including new services developed from scratch.
• Design microservice architecture and communication between services using RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Maintain, evolve, and optimize services handling large volumes of traffic and data.
• Work with SQL databases and contribute to infrastructure running on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Build and improve service monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Make architectural and technical decisions, own their implementation, and contribute to engineering practices and technical standards.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience in backend development with Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and NestJS.
• Hands-on experience designing and building microservice-based systems.
• Experience with high-load products and services.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and/or Kafka.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AWS.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Solid understanding of scalable and fault-tolerant system design, with the ability to make technical decisions independently and take ownership of the outcome.
