QA Engineer (JavaScript)

Location: London, UK; hybrid working with a manager-agreed split between office and home

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end test automation, including framework development, test coverage expansion, and continuous improvement of automation processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and reusable automated test scripts using JavaScript-based tools.
• Perform manual testing across iOS, Android, web, and TV applications when required.
• Develop utilities, mocks, and supporting tools to improve automation efficiency.
• Analyse test results, identify defects, document findings clearly, and create test scenarios proactively.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and cross-functional teams across multiple platforms.

Requirements

• Previous experience designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks using JavaScript tools such as Mocha and Playwright or similar.
• Strong hands-on experience building and scaling robust JavaScript-based test automation solutions.
• Demonstrable experience creating reliable, reusable, and scalable automated test scripts.
• Experience designing and executing automated test strategies.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience managing code with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Ability to work independently, create test scenarios with minimal guidance, and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication, collaboration, relationship management, organisation, and proactive working skills across cross-functional teams.
