PHP Developer (Symfony)

What you will do

• Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and task decomposition with product managers and technical leads.
• Develop new domain functionality and take ownership of features from implementation through production.
• Maintain and incrementally modernize legacy code without disrupting existing business logic or live traffic.
• Integrate and support affiliate platforms, tracking systems, payment solutions, and other third-party services.
• Ensure accurate attribution, calculations, statuses, synchronizations, and reliable data processing.
• Analyze technical debt and improve integration reliability through error handling, idempotency, and SLA control while collaborating with analysts and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of commercial PHP development experience, with a strong preference for Symfony.
• Experience working in product teams and understanding the full feature lifecycle from idea to production.
• Experience supporting and gradually modernizing legacy systems.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles and the ability to assess risks when changing existing business logic.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs, including REST, webhooks, authentication, error handling, and retries.
• Strong SQL knowledge, including indexes and query optimization.
• Ability to read and analyze existing code without rewriting everything from scratch.
• Strong ownership, technical decision-making within the responsibility area, attention to detail in financial and partnership calculation logic, and ability to propose improvements with clear technical justification.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, affiliate marketing, or partnership programs.
• Understanding of traffic attribution, UTM tracking, and conversion tracking.
• Experience with event-driven architecture or message queues.
• Experience with gradual monolith decomposition.
• Understanding of commission models.
• Experience working with high-load systems.
