Senior Lawyer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Manila, Philippines; relocation to Manila required

What you will do

• Lead financing transactions end to end, from term sheet and preparation through closing.
• Draft and review complex financing, hedging, and asset-backed documentation in English.
• Lead the legal workstream for debt issuance and support hedging and asset-backed financing from structuring to signing.
• Build processes for post-closing reporting and covenant obligations, monitor covenants, and manage compliance reporting with Finance and Treasury.
• Work with Finance, Treasury, external counsel, and the Group legal team on transaction execution.
• Manage external counsel scope, timelines, and quality.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 7–10+ years of post-qualification experience; the quality and relevance of experience matter more than the years.
• Finance and banking experience at an international law firm or in-house at a bank or fintech.
• Track record of independently leading transactions in a large company or on international deals.
• Fluent written and spoken English, with most of the work focused on drafting.
• Ready to relocate to Manila, Philippines.
