Licensing Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Metro Manila or Kazakhstan; relocation to Manila is required.

Technology-driven financial company building a banking and lending platform across Southeast Asia, starting in the Philippines.

What you will do

• Coordinate regulatory license applications across legal, compliance, finance, product, and PMO teams.
• Act as the primary on-the-ground licensing contact in Manila while working with a remote team lead.
• Draft regulatory responses, track open items, and maintain alignment across concurrent applications.
• Explain regulatory requirements, identify blockers, and escalate risks with clear facts and impact.
• Manage the transition of licensing projects from PMO into the dedicated licensing function.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience combining legal, regulatory, and project management work on complex, multi-stakeholder projects in financial services or fintech.
• Hands-on experience with financial license applications or comparable fintech regulatory projects involving banking, e-money/payments, securities/trading, or lending, gained at a bank, payment company, EMI, trading firm, financial institution, law firm, or Big Four advisory firm.
• Strong drafting skills, including reading regulations, interpreting requirements, and preparing submission-ready documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify gaps and inconsistencies before regulatory submission.
• Confidence and persistence in stakeholder communication, including explaining regulatory context, following up, pushing back, and escalating when necessary.
• Comfort working with Confluence, JIRA, and Slack as core operating tools.
• Relocation to Manila is required.
