Senior Threat Intel Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite at client facilities in New Carrollton, MD, or Memphis, TN, United States. Travel: 0%; active investigations may require availability within one hour of notification during non-regular duty hours.

Salary: $155,000–$185,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Lead collection and processing of cyber threat intelligence for a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center.
• Assign and review intelligence analysts’ work and report task status to client leadership.
• Collect intelligence from commercial, government, law enforcement, foreign-government, and internal sources, including classified sources up to the Top Secret level.
• Assess threat reporting, active threat actors, indicators of compromise, vulnerabilities, and adversary tactics for applicability to the client environment.
• Transform intelligence into actionable monitoring, custom content, risks, mitigations, and countermeasures.
• Produce adversary threat-set profiles and intelligence products, participate in investigations, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field and 12+ years of relevant professional experience; three additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Widely recognized thought leader in cyber threat intelligence who contributes to the field’s body of knowledge.
• Ability to resolve undefined, highly complex, and multidimensional problems requiring significant technical depth, conceptualization, and interpretation.
• Expert knowledge of advanced technologies, adversary tactics, techniques and procedures, and threat actor tracking.
• Experience processing classified intelligence and working with intelligence community or law enforcement partners.
• Experience mentoring and coaching junior technical staff.
• Experience leading a team or serving as a task lead, including assigning work, reviewing quality, and reporting status to client leadership.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal government contracts as a contractor, including contract performance standards, deliverable schedules, and government review and approval processes.
• Certifications such as GCTI, GCIH, or CTIA.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms and MITRE ATT&CK.
• TS/SCI eligibility.
