Technical Architect (GCP-Focused)

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; hybrid with two work-from-home days per week on Monday and Friday.

What you will do

• Design, evolve, assess, and refactor scalable architectures for AI, data, and platform components.
• Evaluate DevSecOps and FinOps maturity, validate KPIs, and promote infrastructure as code, secure-by-design development, cost awareness, and efficient cloud usage.
• Guide modern data architecture implementation and oversee monitoring, logging, tracing, health checks, and SLA tracking.
• Serve as the technical interface for clients, translating complex architecture topics for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Improve engineering practices through CI/CD, automated testing, AI/ML workflow automation, and automation-first delivery.
• Provide architectural direction, mentorship, cross-project coordination, and strategic input across multiple teams and initiatives.

Requirements

• Hands-on GCP experience with Vertex AI Pipelines, GKE, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and VPC/networking.
• Production-scale Terraform proficiency, including modules, state management, and drift detection.
• Experience designing CI/CD for ML workloads, beyond standard application pipelines.
• Mature container and orchestration experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes operators.
• Experience with secret management, IAM design, and workload identity federation.
• Experience with FinOps tooling, including GCP billing export, budget alerts, and committed-use planning.
• Experience building or migrating a platform from scratch, operating large-scale production platforms, handling incidents, writing post-mortems, and carrying SLA accountability.
• Experience with multi-tenant or multi-project GCP organization structures and understanding of failure modes at scale.
• Strategic, self-driven, autonomous, communicative, mentorship-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
• Ability to enable teams, push back diplomatically on technical debt, adapt communication for technical teams, PMO, clients, and C-level stakeholders, and escalate disagreements through appropriate channels.
