TL;DR
Logistics Planner (International Shipping): Planning and coordinating end-to-end international shipments for factories and suppliers with an accent on Incoterms, freight operations, capacity planning, shipping documentation, and regulatory compliance. Focus on resolving shipment exceptions, improving logistics KPIs and cost effectiveness, and standardizing processes across freight forwarders, carriers, and internal teams.

What you will do

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor end-to-end international shipments based on business requirements, production readiness, Incoterms, and logistics guidelines.
  • Coordinate with assigned factories and suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, internal teams, and other logistics service providers.
  • Manage shipment forecasts, bookings, equipment, carrier capacity, and priorities, especially during peak seasons.
  • Identify and resolve shipment exceptions and operational risks, coordinate corrective actions, and escalate critical issues.
  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation, shipment data, regulatory compliance, and shipment visibility for stakeholders.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs, improve service and cost effectiveness, standardize processes, maintain SOPs, and support local logistics capability development.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of international shipping processes, Incoterms, shipping documentation, and freight operations.
  • Relevant experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, supply chain, or import/export operations.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Transportation, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with factories, freight forwarders, ocean carriers, or other logistics service providers.
  • Experience in local export logistics and international ocean freight.
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese.
  • FOB business experience with Target stores, Walmart, or Amazon.com.
