Associate Specialist, Engineering Automation

Location: Hybrid, West Point, Pennsylvania, United States; US and Puerto Rico residents only; 10% travel required; no relocation.

Salary: $71,900–$113,200 annual base salary, plus potential annual bonus and long-term incentive.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot equipment and automation issues to improve manufacturing performance and yield.
• Maintain manufacturing automation systems in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements.
• Provide technical automation assistance to production teams and support on-floor manufacturing activities.
• Review automation documents, preventive maintenance records, and Standard Operating Procedures for compliance.
• Develop and promote corrective actions for automation and IT investigations.
• Generate and implement change controls, support validation activities, regulatory inspections, audits, training, and other Quality functions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience or technical knowledge supporting automated processing and information technology systems.
• Knowledge of audit management, automation, business process improvement, change controls, data management, engineering principles, GMP, IT, manufacturing, manufacturing optimization, problem management, quality management, regulatory inspections, technical support, and related quality and process functions.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems, Standard Operating Procedures, procedure development, real-time programming, Software Development Life Cycle, and operational performance management.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, information technology, or another relevant discipline.
• Skills with PLCs, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, Distributed Control Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Batch Operations using S88/S95, IT, and OEM equipment.
