Senior Solution Architect (AWS/Azure)

Location: Colorado Springs, CO or Dayton, OH; remote personnel willing to travel may be considered. US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are required.

Salary: $170,000–$220,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead technologists and business partner SMEs across data engineering, software architecture, development, and logistics.
• Develop technical architectures and enterprise data solutions for USAF integrated sustainment optimization.
• Architect, develop, deploy, and oversee next-generation data products and cloud-native solutions.
• Support technology innovation, AF growth, and regular customer engagements.
• Collaborate with engineers and Air Force SMEs on supply chain risk management, repair network optimization, asset visibility, and inventory optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 15+ years of professional development experience, or a master’s degree in a STEM field with 13+ years of professional development experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Extensive experience with data architectures and modeling and simulation analysis for optimization of complex supply chain networks.
• Proven experience with modern programming languages such as Python or Java within agile development frameworks.
• Strong proficiency with AWS and/or Azure cloud services, including hands-on experience with cloud deployment, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation, Docker/containerization, and elastic cloud orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices for secure, scalable software deployments.
• Active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Nice to have

• Experience in Air Force and/or Space domains, simulation, and enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with large-scale data management in cloud environments.
• 10+ years of Java and Python experience.
• Experience with agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban.
