Latin America Research Analyst - Spanish Fluency (Temporary)

Location: Onsite, 5 days per week in Rockville, MD or Washington, DC, United States.

Salary: $26.00–$27.50 per hour; full-time, 40 hours per week, with overtime eligibility subject to manager approval.

What you will do

• Conduct basic and advanced corporate governance research for publicly traded companies in Latin American markets, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.
• Read regulatory filings, SEC filings such as 20-Fs and 6-Ks, corporate governance reports, and other company disclosures.
• Distill financial, industry, and corporate governance information into proxy analyses and issue proxy vote recommendations based on applicable policy guidelines.
• Verify company financials, director profiles, remuneration data, auditor fees, and other information used in proxy analysis reports.
• Write timely and accurate reports using quantitative and qualitative analysis in accordance with procedures and policy guidelines.

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Strong analytical abilities and some knowledge of corporate governance issues.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, familiarity with data information, self-driven work ethic, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends during peak weeks in March and April; overtime during late March to mid-April may include evenings or weekends.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate with various internal parties.
• Familiarity with Latin American countries' regulators and stock exchanges, as well as SEC filings.
• Bachelor's degree or higher, plus relevant experience preferred in governance, accounting, law, or other corporate fields.
