Manager, Biosciences Study Lead (Bioanalytical Research)

Salary: $80,200.00–$167,200.00 annualized base pay

What you will do

• Manage and develop a team of study leads through work direction, coaching, performance reviews, team meetings, and employee relations support.
• Oversee assigned bioanalytical projects across method development, method validation, sample analysis, reporting, and archiving.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on study lead procedures, techniques, and execution expectations in a regulated environment.
• Coordinate with Technical Writing, QA, Project Management, laboratory teams, customers, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on schedule and to scientific and regulatory standards.
• Track project progress, communicate status, participate in scheduling and revenue meetings, and escalate risks.
• Lead or support investigations, troubleshooting, corrective and preventative action plans, customer issue resolution, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Experience in a GLP laboratory environment, including regulated bioanalytical study execution.
• Understanding of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry, or in vitro and immunoassay techniques.
• Experience with sample extraction, routine laboratory procedures, method development, and assay validation.
• Strong people leadership skills, including team management, work direction, performance appraisal, and professional development.
• Broad bioanalytical knowledge and the ability to apply domain expertise in a study environment.
• Ability to work effectively with internal teams, external clients, coworkers, managers, and cross-functional partners while meeting objectives and timelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, including the ability to provide verbally communicated or draft procedures; demonstrated ability to drive scientific quality, regulatory compliance, customer service, and process improvement.
