Sensor Characterization Specialist (CMOS Image Sensors)

Salary: CAD 62,900–83,900 per year

What you will do

• Participate in the first power-up and bring-up of new CMOS image sensor designs under the guidance of a Sensor Lead.
• Perform full electro-optical characterization of CMOS image sensors and guide junior test engineers when required.
• Explore operational phase space to determine optimum operating conditions and document, analyze, and report test results.
• Develop, maintain, and modify test software and hardware infrastructure for sensor characterization.
• Support integration of CMOS image sensors into cameras and other imaging systems as a technical contact.
• Perform root cause analysis of field failures and customer complaints and develop new operating modes as required by the market.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, such as Physics, or Engineering, such as Computer or Electrical Engineering.

Nice to have

• Exposure to image sensors, imaging systems, or image analysis.
• Experience with Python 3, MS Office, and MATLAB.
• Familiarity with electronics laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
• Knowledge of the Sapera Image Acquisition and Control SDK.
• FPGA and microprocessor programming experience.
