Client Operations Specialist (Fixed Income)

Location: Newport Beach, CA, USA; other locations include Austin, TX, USA and New York, NY, USA.

Base salary: $120,000–$135,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Oversee portfolio event processes, including onboarding accounts, terminations, in-kind transfers, and modifications to existing portfolios.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and mitigate risks.
• Develop and implement client solutions with cross-functional teams while improving the client experience.
• Document project phases and prepare summary reports for management.
• Coordinate activities across Client Management, Client Servicing, Portfolio Management, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Funds Administration, Analytics, Performance, Operations, clients, banks, and transition managers.
• Participate throughout the client portfolio lifecycle and share responsibility for implementation decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Client Operations within the financial services industry, preferably focused on fixed income.
• Knowledge of the portfolio event process.
• Working knowledge of economics, fixed-income fundamentals, or portfolio management.
• Experience working in or with Client Management and/or Transitions Management.
• Strong project management skills.
• Experience automating business processes using workflow automation, business intelligence, or other productivity tools.
• Experience in investment operations or with derivatives.
• Strong organizational, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, adaptability, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills, with integrity and sound judgment.
