Portfolio Manager: Business Lending (Fintech)

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa; base location at Midrand, Vodacom Campus

Company

Large telecommunications and financial services organization with an innovative fintech team serving the small and medium enterprises industry.

What you will do

• Manage the Business Term Advance product day to day, including product performance and profitability.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, IT, and Customer Experience teams to scale the product and achieve year-on-year growth targets.
• Own execution of the Unsecured Business Lending marketplace under the VodaLend brand.
• Create new features to strengthen the VodaLend business value proposition and achieve the required scale.
• Identify and manage third-party product partners, including commercial negotiations.
• Provide fintech and Business Lending insights, develop business cases for new ideas, and prepare regular performance reports and presentations for senior management.

Requirements

• Matric qualification.
• Relevant three- or four-year Business degree.
• At least eight years of Product Development experience.
• Prior Business Lending product design and development experience.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of the fast-paced fintech lending industry.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements.
