Software Development Engineer in Test II (Cloud/Edge)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated API, integration, and end-to-end tests for backend services using Java, Groovy, or Kotlin.
• Design and implement UI test automation with Playwright or Cypress.
• Validate HTTP-based services and edge behavior across diverse scenarios.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines for reliable automated regression runs.
• Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers, SRE, and support teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain test environments, test data, and reusable test tooling.

Requirements

• Engineering expertise or equivalent education in computing or a related field, with applicable practical experience in software development.
• Programming expertise in any language; familiarity with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, and Spock, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Comprehensive understanding of networking fundamentals, including HTTP, TCP/IP, and DNS.
• Practical experience with UI test automation and familiarity with Playwright or Cypress.
• Experience working in Linux environments, including shell scripting and command-line troubleshooting.
• Expertise with Git and continuous integration and delivery practices.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
• Expertise with Jenkins infrastructure, pipelines, Job DSL, agents, plugins, API testing tools, reporting tools, or AI-driven debugging.
