Full Stack QA Engineer (Java/Kotlin)

Location: Baku, Azerbaijan; onsite, remote, or hybrid work options are available.

Additional earnings of up to €1,000 per month may be included in the annual bonus depending on expertise.

What you will do

• Own the test strategy for the worker app, embedded WebView, back office, and backend services from test planning through release sign-off.
• Test photo, voice, video, and text capture and upload across Android and iOS devices, poor networks, interrupted or resumed uploads, permissions, and on-device validation.
• Validate task reservations and expiry, submission statuses, review and rework cycles, labeling consensus, buyer isolation, and time- and quota-based logic.
• Verify accruals, balances, payout batches, reconciliation, consent management, data erasure, and audit trails.
• Build and maintain end-to-end and API automation in CI and perform load testing of task queues and ingestion during peak traffic.
• Investigate production and integration issues across mobile, WebView, back office, APIs, distributed services, databases, logs, metrics, traces, and message queues.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Full Stack QA Engineer.
• Experience with functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing across onboarding and consent, task queues, data capture and upload, review, earnings, and payouts.
• Automation experience with Java or Kotlin; strong REST and/or gRPC API automation experience, including tools such as Postman.
• Experience with Selenium or Selenide and hands-on experience with Appium.
• Understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture, including retries, timeouts, idempotency, duplicate events, and eventual consistency.
• Experience testing financial flows, including accruals, balances, batch payouts, and reconciliation with third-party payout providers.
• Understanding of data privacy requirements covering consent management, retention, and erasure.
• Experience testing TTL-based reservations, expiry and reassignment, volume limits, and targeting by country, language, or segment.
• Ability to use Grafana, CloudWatch, Kibana, Kafka, SQL, or MySQL to investigate issues; experience with CI/CD, Docker, and AWS environments.
• Experience contributing to test strategy, requirements reviews, release validation, and production issue analysis with a focus on business risk.
• English proficiency at Intermediate+ level or above.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript for automation.
• Knowledge of Playwright or Cypress.
• Experience testing mobile media capture and upload, including device fragmentation, permissions, unstable networks, resumable uploads, and on-device validation.
• Experience testing integrations with authentication, CRM, push notifications, payout partners, LLM providers, and S3 or other cloud storage.
• Experience with load and performance testing.
