Inpatient Care Physician (MD/DO) - Remote (AI)

Salary: $100–$115 per hour

hirify.global is engaging inpatient physicians to support an AI project focused on clinical documentation and clinical decision-support tools.

What you will do

• Review medical records, FHIR data, and clinical notes for AI training and development.
• Evaluate clinical information and verify that medical claims and statements are supported by appropriate documentation.
• Analyze inpatient documentation, including HPI, PMH, clinical assessments, and care plans, to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and omissions.
• Apply established review standards and guidelines to improve clinical data accuracy and reliability.
• Provide detailed, actionable feedback to project teams to improve AI model performance and clinical data quality.
• Communicate clinical findings and insights through written reports and verbal discussions with project stakeholders.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Hospital Medicine.
• Current or recent hands-on inpatient or hospitalist clinical experience, preferably within the past two years.
• Strong expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and hospital-based clinical workflows.
• Ability to review and evaluate clinical notes and raw electronic health record data with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills relevant to inpatient care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide clear, constructive, and evidence-based feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical chart review, clinical documentation improvement, utilization review, or medical coding and quality assurance.
