Location: Mons, Belgium; onsite contract role.

What you will do

  • Lead mechanical engineering design and construction activities for hyperscale data center cooling systems, HVAC infrastructure, and process piping.
  • Oversee chilled water systems, air handling units, cooling towers, and precision cooling equipment for high-density server environments.
  • Coordinate mechanical system integration with electrical and structural teams.
  • Manage mechanical contractors and subcontractors, maintaining schedule, quality, and budget compliance.
  • Review mechanical submittals, equipment specifications, installation drawings, procurement, and vendor qualification.
  • Supervise commissioning, performance testing, optimization, troubleshooting, and resolution of mechanical system issues while ensuring energy-efficiency and redundancy standards.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in mechanical systems design and construction, including specific expertise in data center or mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience with data center cooling systems, chilled water plants, and high-density server cooling solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, energy management systems, and mechanical system commissioning procedures.
  • Experience managing large-scale construction teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with mechanical design software, BIM coordination tools, and project management platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Nice to have

  • Professional Engineer license or equivalent professional certification.
