Safety Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Tianjin, China; onsite manufacturing facility role.

What you will do

• Manage and continuously improve site safety systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and dual-prevention risk management mechanisms.
• Manage fire protection programs, including facility inspections, documentation, annual fire and electrical testing, and emergency drills.
• Administer permits and supervise high-risk work, including hot work, work at height, confined-space entry, and temporary electrical work.
• Manage contractor safety, special equipment compliance, employee certifications, and onsite safety training.
• Prepare and maintain emergency response plans and government safety reporting systems.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, implement corrective and preventive actions, maintain safety records, and support audits and regulatory inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of safety-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Chinese workplace safety and fire protection laws, regulations, and management requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, execution, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Registered Safety Engineer qualification or another relevant safety certification.
