Compliance Analyst (Web3)

Location: Kazakhstan; remote-first work-from-home arrangement, which may vary depending on the nature of the role and team.

What you will do

• Work with the CO and MLRO on internal compliance policy reviews, compliance assessments, internal audit reviews, and ongoing or ad hoc reviews.
• Track compliance requirements for new product and service launches.
• Handle, review, and verify client onboarding applications within available SLAs.
• Conduct risk assessments, periodic and trigger reviews, enhanced due diligence, and monitoring and documentation of unusual activity or AML flags.
• Work with the checker to maintain an effective two-eye and four-eye customer due diligence process.
• Participate in AML/CFT and other internal and external training, and support related compliance administration.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of directly related experience in a legal or compliance role, with substantial knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and day-to-day compliance affairs.
• Fluent Kazakh, Russian, and English.
• Knowledge of local and AIFC laws, guidance, regulations, and standards applicable to subject persons.
• Undergraduate degree.
• Ability to write effectively.
• Superior organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in compliance applications and programs such as Thomson Reuters, World-Check, KYC vendors, and Chainalysis.

Nice to have

• Law degree.
• Knowledge of upcoming virtual-currency regulations and policies.
